Founders Blog: Why we’ve launched an awards program

At the end of 2023 we sat down, looked at the year that was, and had a “pinch-us” moment. We have grown into a thriving community of 10k+ women, spanning 9-global chapters and boasting 40+ events! We are still blown away, humbled, and full of gratitude.

As we embarked on 2024, a burning question ignited within us: how could we do more? How could we amplify the voices and stories that fuel our mission – empowering women to not just break into, but thrive in Customer Success? We reflected on countless encounters, conversations, devoured forum threads on our member’s portal, and emerged with a resounding answer: Recognise - Amplify - Celebrate!


One of the core threads woven into this community's tapestry is the power of sharing. We've witnessed countless acts of courage, from women pivoting into tech, mid-career, to those spearheading unique initiatives that uplift their peers, to reviving large customers on the brink of churning. It’s these stories that deserve to be shouted from the rooftops!

And that's why, as we approach our 3rd birthday coinciding with Women's History Month (a month dedicated to celebrating the achievements of women), we will be announcing the winners of our first, new initiative of 2024: The Women of Customer Success Awards.


So why awards, and why now? 


We’re dedicated to formalizing recognition

Awards are an amazing opportunity for leaders to give back to their employees in a meaningful way. This isn't just about trophies, accolades or fancy awards ceremonies; it's about formalizing recognition and publicly validating the hard work and accomplishments of employees to thousands of other CS professionals without our network. Giving women the platform they deserve, in order to be seen and celebrated by their leaders and peers. It's about empowering individuals, especially those who may not always raise their voices, to share their successes with the world.


We believe that amplifying the successes of women can help to raise the bar on industry standards

By showcasing winner achievements, we hope to ignite a spark of inspiration, painting a vibrant and diverse picture of "what great looks like" for aspiring women. Our awards have 40 winners per category so that we can celebrate a variety of examples of accomplishments. By recognizing excellence within our global community, we aim to motivate our members and those following the awards program to reach for higher goals, collectively raising the bar for the entire Customer Success function and industry. 


We’re committed to boosting the confidence of women and inspiring the next generation of leaders 

We all know the power of community. But let's not forget the importance of individual confidence. Awards can be a game-changer. Seeing one’s achievements recognized can empower women to reach new heights, both personally and professionally.

But it's not just about individual journeys. Awards ceremonies and related events offer valuable opportunities for networking and collaboration.
