Program Details

Led by the Women of Customer Success community, the Outstanding Women in Customer Success awards stands as a testament to the remarkable achievements of women. These global awards honor women who have consistently demonstrated exceptional skill, dedication, and innovation, leaving an indelible mark on the ever-evolving landscape of Customer Success.

Inspired by the incredible achievements of our community, the May 2024 award program includes two new award categories: Customer First and New-comer. Highlighting the different ways women are making a difference within their Customer Success and Experience teams.


Nomination period:
May 7th - June 14th

Winners announced: July 9th, 2024

Location: the awards are global, all announcements will be made virtually

Nomination cost: $150 per nomination

Note: award submissions are non-transferable and non-refundable.

Eligibility

  • New-comer award eligibility: nominees for this award must have less than 2 years of overall experience in Customer Success or Customer Experience roles.

  • Customer First award eligibility: nominees must have over two years of experience in Customer Success/Experience with at least 8 months of relevant experience at their current company.

  • Nominees must be working in the following functions:

    • Customer Success

    • Support

    • Onboarding

    • Implementation

    • Experience

    • Account Management

  • Nominees must have demonstrably impacted the Customer Success/Experience (CS/EX) function within their company - with a focus on the past 12 months.

  • Nominations can be submitted from anywhere in the world.

Judging Criteria

The New-comer award recognizes the brightest new talent in Customer Success and Experience. These individuals are rising stars and are making a positive impact within their field and are shaping the future of CS/CX. The following criteria will be used when judging submissions in this category:

  1. Impactful Problem Solving: showcase the ability to identify and solve customer problems creatively and proactively while applying best CS/CX practices;

  2. Initiative & Proactiveness: demonstrates a strong work ethic, takes initiative to identify and address customer needs, and consistently drives positive outcomes;

  3. Customer Advocacy: show evidence of building strong customer relationships and fostering customer loyalty;

  4. Contributions to the Wider Customer Success Community: actively engages in knowledge-sharing, contributes insights to industry forums, and advocates for diversity and inclusion in the Customer Success community. This could be internal or external to their organization.

The Customer First Award celebrates Customer Success and Experience representatives who have gone above and beyond to ensure their customers' success. It recognizes individuals who embody the 'Customer-First' philosophy, demonstrating unwavering commitment to prioritizing customer needs, satisfaction, and success in all aspects of their work. The following criteria will be used when judging submissions in this category:

  1. Voice of the Customer: ability to actively listen to and understand customer needs;

  2. Going Above & Beyond for their Customer: demonstrated instances of exceeding expectations and taking initiative to resolve complex customer issues;

  3. Building Customer Relationships: ability to build strong relationships with customers and foster trust and loyalty;

  4. Collaboration & Teamwork: effective collaboration with colleagues across departments to achieve customer success and the positive outcomes of their customer.

What will the winners receive?

  • A feature in the July issue of Women of Customer Success awards & a dedicated blog post celebrating winners;

  • International recognition by the Women of Customer Success community; 

  • Invitations to speak at Women of Customer Success panel events in their prospective cities;

  • A digital award logo to share their win in any way they choose;

  • Dedicated LinkedIn feature.

Who can submit a nomination?

You can nominate yourself (with a strong peer endorsement) or a deserving peer.

If you would like to nominate yourself or your peer, please follow the steps in the next section.

The endorsement can come from any of the following peers within your company:

Steps to submitting a nomination: 

If you would like to nominate yourself or nominate a fellow peer, please follow the steps below: 

  1. Fill out a nomination form using this link (Available from May 7th - June 14th, or via the button below).

  2. Once you have filled out the form above, you must purchase a single nomination for $150 USD using this payment link.

  3. After you have paid, you will receive a confirmation email from Stripe. The Women of Customer Success awards team will be in touch no later than June 19th via email with next steps regarding your nomination.

  4. If we don’t hear back from winners and their references by June 26, 2024, we will not be able to include you in the awards list.

  5. If you have any questions about the award please reach out to community@womenofcs.com.

  6. All nominations must be submitted between May 7th - June 14th. Any nominations made after this date will not be eligible for the award or a refund.

  7. Winners will be announced on July 9th, 2024.

  • For award winners: Winning an "Outstanding Women in Customer Success" award helps Customer Success professionals gain industry recognition, enhances their personal brand, and helps develop their career. Additionally, the award provides winners with valuable networking and mentorship opportunities through the publication of their achievements.

    For their companies: Nominating a leader is more than just an act of recognition; it's a strategic investment in your company's brand, reputation and growth. By empowering your leaders, you are enhancing your brand, fostering a culture of excellence, and shaping the future of customer success. Recognizing your leaders can also foster loyalty and reduce employee turnover.

  • We have created a resource pack for your employers or preferred nominators available here.

    This gives nominators all of the information that they need about the program, eligibility criteria, and why awards are a valuable initiative to participate in.

  • Each nomination costs $150 USD. Nominators can nominate more than one person in their organization. This will cost $150 USD each time they nominate.

  • The nomination fee helps maintain the integrity of the awards by ensuring that only serious candidates are considered. It also helps to cover the costs of the editorial process. It takes a substantial amount of time and resources for the Women of Customer Success team to organize and evaluate nominations to determine this year's winners.

  • Yes you can nominate yourself for these particular award categories. You can also nominate someone else.

  • Nominations are submitted through the online form on this page. Your entry will only be validated once you have purchased the nomination using the payment link in the nomination form.

  • Nominees and nominators will receive an automated email to confirm their submission. We do not provide further award progress updates.

  • June 14th 2024 is the deadline for submitting you nomination.

  • Upon receiving nominations, each submission will undergo a thorough evaluation by the Women of Customer Success awards team. We will prioritize recent achievements and professional success within the past year, although lifetime accomplishments will also be considered. The focus, however, remains on the nominee's recent impact and contributions.

  • In competitive awards programs, there are often many qualified nominees for a limited number of awards. As a result, not all nominees can be chosen as winners.

  • Yes we will have different categories launching later this year.
